गिनती के आधार पर Noun दो प्रकार के होते है
Countable Noun (गणनीय संज्ञा )
Uncountable Noun (अगणनीय संज्ञा )
Countable Noun (गणनीय संज्ञा):-
The Noun which can be counted is called Countable Noun.
वैसी Noun(संज्ञा ) जिसको गिना जा सके उसे हम Countable Noun (गणनीय संज्ञा ) कहते है.
जैसे- girl ,class ,table ,Ram ,apple ,etc Countable Noun उदहारण है.
Countable Noun के आधार पर Noun को तीन भागो में बाटां गया है –
Proper Noun (व्यक्ति वाचक संज्ञा )
Common Noun (जाती वाचक संज्ञा )
Collective Noun(समूह वाचक संज्ञा )
Proper Noun (व्यक्ति वाचक संज्ञा ):-
The Noun which denotes a proper person place or thing is called proper noun.
वैसी संज्ञा जो किसी विसेस व्यक्ति ,वस्तु ,स्थान आदि को दर्शाता है उसे proper noun कहते है.
जैसे-
Proper person —> Binay ,Ajit ,Nilu ,etc
Proper place —> Mumbai , India ,Bihar ,etc
Proper thing —>Ramayan ,Geeta ,Bible ,etc
Common Noun (जाती वाचक संज्ञा ):-
The Noun which denotes common person ,place or thing is called Common Noun.
वैसी संज्ञा जो किसी विसेस व्यक्ति वस्तु स्थान का बोध ना कराकर पुरे जाती का बोध कराता है उसे हम Common Noun कहते है.
जैसे-
Common person –>Man ,Woman ,Boy , etc
Common place –> Town , School ,etc
Common Things –>Book ,Table ,etc
Collective Noun(समूह वाचक संज्ञा ) :-
The Noun which denotes a group of person or other creature or collection of things is called Collective Noun.
वैसी संज्ञा जिससे पूरा समूह का बोध होता है उसे हम समूह वाचक संज्ञा (Collective Noun) कहते है.
जैसे-
Group of person :- A crew of sailors , A team of players ,A class of student ,Army of soldiers. Collection of things :-A fleet of ships ,A bunch of flowers ,A library of books.
Uncountable Noun (अगणनीय संज्ञा) :-
A Noun which cann’t be counted is called uncountable Noun.
वैसी संज्ञा जिसको न गिना जा सके उसे uncountable noun कहते है.
जैसे :- Gold (सोना) , Water (पानी) ,Oil (तेल) ,Honesty (ईमानदारी) ,etc
Uncountable Noun के मुख्य दो प्रकार होते है .
Material Noun (द्रव्यवाचक संज्ञा):-
The Noun which denotes the materials is called material noun.
वैसी संज्ञा जिससे द्रव्य का बोध हो material noun (द्रव्य वाचक संज्ञा )कहलाता है.
जैसे- Copper (तांबा ) ,Silver (चांदी) , Tea (चाय) ,Coffee (कॉफ़ी), Ghee (घी)
(2)Abstract Noun(भाव वाचक संज्ञा ):-
The Noun which denotes quality , condition and action is called abstract Noun.
वैसी संज्ञा जो गुण ,दशा और कार्यकलाप को दर्शाता है उसे Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा) कहते हैं.
जैसे-
Wisdom – स्वतंत्रता
Humanity -मानवता
Pride – अभिमान
Bravery – बहादुरी
Childhood – बचपन

(1)Ram is a good boy.
Ram—> Proper noun
Boy—>Common noun
(2) Milk is very hot.
Milk —> Material Noun
